Loar LM-220 Mandolin

Loar LM-220Loar is the latest brand of mandolins to receive the Homestead seal of approval. The skeptic in us made us wait after they first hit the street to see what kind of customer reaction they would receive and what if any repairs we might see coming in to the shop. They got a “GO” on both criteria and are now a regular part of our mandolin stock. They make both ‘A’ and ‘F’ model instruments and we’ve been very pleased with the ones we’ve seen. The LM-220 is the entry level Loar ‘A’ model. It is of solid wood construction throughout and features ‘X’ bracing rather than the more common tone bar bracing. Here’s a complete list of goodies to help you evaluate the LM-220:

  • Solid Carved and Graduated Spruce Top
  • Solid Maple Back & Ribs
  • Solid Maple Neck with Rounded V-Profile
  • Bound Rosewood Fretboard
  • Adjustable Truss Rod
  • Mother of Pearl Inlaid Logo
  • Gloss vintage Sunburst Finish
  • Grover Tuning Machines
  • Bound Body
  • Adjustable Compensated Ebony Bridge
  • 1 1/8″ Nut Width
  • Completely Set Up Here at Homestead

MSRP = $ 533.99*
